My thoughts on my courses

This three year course was perfect for me as it gave me the incentive to go out and use my camera, think about what I wanted to achieve and try shots I would never have thought of.

  

My skill level prior to starting the course

Huge amount of enthusiasm but very much a beginner with SLR camera. Auto was very useful!

My skill level now

I am much more adventurous now and capable of understanding my camera's features though I have still a lot to learn. I am still looking at further courses to attend to gain more experience.

My long term plans

Although I do not have a web site as yet, I have been thinking of setting one up. I set up an exhibition for my church's anniversary and someone actually bought some of my photos so who knows? My favourite subject is architecture, taking photos of windows, doors, corners etc not just the whole building, concentrating on light and shade.

Personal Statement:

I used to be a fine weather photographer but with my final year's course, my project entailed going out into the mists of Autumn and the snows of Winter to achieve what I had set out to do. I have learnt that not all photos require the sunshine.
