2 Day Wood and Water Photography Weekend

We will be based in Dover, within a short distance of some amazing photographic opportunities, such as:

The White Cliffs of Dover – Practice your photography on a true icon of the British Isles. Strikingly tall cliffs of brilliant white chalk, accentuated by streaks of black flint. Plenty of rare and fauna and flora to hone your skills in all types of photography

Kearsney Abbey and Russell Gardens – Parks with shimmering lakes enrobed in tree’s and forestry, with plenty of Wild Fowl in their natural habitat. Opportunities to take stunning photographs of the winding lakes through the ruins of the Abbey. In May we will also visit a delightful Bluebell woodland.

Coastal villages – We will discover locations for awe-inspiring photography panning across the English channel. The opportunity will be there to take photographs of the coastal front, fishing boats, rock pools, lobster pots and many other scenes steeped in history.

You will learn:

• Expert camera control, allowing you to take crisp, life-like images.
• Creative use of shutter speed and image composition.
• Depth of field judgment
• Image manipulation using photoshop

These lessons will give you an opportunity to hone your photography skills and help you take photographs like an expert. You will be able to use your abilities and leave the course with some truly memorable, awe-inspiring photographs of your own creation.

As with most coastal regions the weather can be changeable we recommend walking boots and waterproof clothing. Most digital cameras are only water resistant so we would strongly suggest rain covers for your camera.
